My name is Josh Patton, and I am proud to serve as the Member Engagement and Workforce Coordinator for the Hoover Area Chamber. In my role, I have the opportunity to build relationships with our members, support workforce initiatives, and help connect businesses, students, and community partners in meaningful ways.
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, I relocated to Birmingham in 2014 through a job opportunity and quickly found a community that felt like home. Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate the strong sense of collaboration and growth that makes the Hoover area such a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Family is at the center of everything I do. My wife and I have been together for 14 years and will celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary next month. We have two wonderful children—a daughter who will turn 10 next month and a 7-year-old son—who keeps us busy, entertained, and constantly learning. Whether we’re attending activities, exploring new places, or simply spending time together at home, I cherish every opportunity to create lasting memories with them.
I also come from a unique family dynamic. I am the middle child overall—my mom’s oldest child and my dad’s youngest—which has given me a perspective that allows me to connect with people from different backgrounds and walks of life. Those experiences helped shape my appreciation for relationships, communication, and the importance of bringing people together.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading history, cooking, and continually learning new things. I’ve always been fascinated by the stories and lessons of the past and enjoy finding ways those lessons can be applied to the present.
What I enjoy most about my work with the Chamber is the opportunity to serve others. Whether I’m helping a member maximize their benefits, connecting employers with workforce resources, or supporting initiatives that create opportunities for students, I find purpose in helping people and organizations succeed. I am grateful to be part of an organization that is committed to strengthening our business community and making a positive impact throughout the Hoover area.
