Regional Director of Sales
Sherry began her career in hotel operations over 18 years ago at a Residence Inn by Marriott while attending college at the University of Alabama Birmingham. Upon finishing with two bachelor’s degrees, one in Psychology and the other in Sociology she decided that the hospitality world was her calling and moved quickly through the ranks from General Manager to Area Manager and then Regional Director of Sales. Her passion is driving revenue to hotels, strategizing with revenue management, training associates, and giving great customer service to the guests and top accounts. She has worked in multiple branded hotels with expertise in the extended-stay hospitality business. She oversees sales in our hotels that are Hilton, Marriott, and IHG brands. Sherry has been with RAM hotels for over 3 years and has increased occupancy, led marketing campaigns, delivered speeches during hotel and community events, and overseen many ribbon cuttings.
Sherry has experience in hotel openings, renovations, national digital social media campaigns, scriptwriting for front desk and sales teams, marketing, revenue analysis versus budget, national sales for large corporate accounts, human resources, and procurement as well as vendor selection. Sherry implemented training for operations and sales departments on virtual learning platforms, uses analytics to ensure the assets are performing well by P&L analysis, budget adherence, and watching market demand generators and creative revenue management. She spent many years traveling the US to rebrand hotels and increase marketing, writing press releases, and working with the area chambers to increase the immediate occupancy of a hotel.
She currently is an Ambassador for the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce and a hotel board member for CAHABA-Central Alabama Hospitality Attractions and Business Association in Birmingham, Alabama.
